Today Clem from Linux Mint announced the availability of their operating system’s latest version, Linux Mint 17.2 Rafaela. As all versions starting from 17 this is also based on the Ubuntu 14.04 LTS operating system and it is supported until 2019.

The Cinnamon and MATE versions both got a new Software sources window, where you can now open PPA archives and browse their packages. It also lets you downgrade packages. The Update manager also received some nice neat new feature, the Language settings dialog has been revamped, they added new features to the MDM login screen and finally this version of Linux Mint has better support for UEFI, NVIDIA and Optimus cards. Cinnamon is upgraded to 2.6 and MATE is at version 1.10.
